There will be a meeting on Wednesday (9/10) for anybody who is interested in playing boys volleyball this spring.

Anyone interested in being a member of the step & hip hop dance team should plan to attend an informational meeting September 8 in room A226 at 2:15. Practice for tryouts will be the 9th-12th until 3:00 and tryouts will be on the 18th and 19th.

The Junior Varsity Cheerleading squad will be holding a try-out on Monday, September 8th from 5-7. There will be an informational meeting on Wednesday, September 3rd at 2:15 pm in room D175. It’s Time for Battle.

The EHS Wargames Club is meeting in the Media Center Wednesday’s after school. If you like Dungeons and Dragons, Warhammer, Heroclix, Magic, or any other tabletop games, or you want to learn how to play, we are the club for you. Come to the Media Center after school and check out a game. If you don’t have your own stuff, don’t worry we have extras for you to use. If you have any questions stop by and see Mr. Kessler in the Media Center.

Love Animation?

Then come and check out the EHS Animation Club (formerly the Anime Club). We meet every Thursday in the Media Center and we watch all sorts of animated fare. From Mickey Mouse to Akira and Wallace and Gromit, there will be something for everyone. Come check it out this Thursday after school, if you have any questions see Mr. Kessler in the Media Center.


The Math tutoring lab will begin Sept. 2 in room A314 from 2:15-3:15 p.m.

Attention Seniors: Don’t forget that the last day to have your senior yearbook photo taken in the Prestige Portrait studio is on Saturday, September 6. If you haven’t set up your appointment yet, please call 288-7900. Remember that you must have your yearbook portrait taken at Prestige if you want it to be in the yearbook.

The last day to register to vote prior to the November 4, 2008 General Election is October 7th. To register, please provide 2 types of id, 1 must have the current address and the other is to be either the last four digits of the social security number or the driver’s license number. Please see Mrs. Clemings in the main office.

The Psi Upsilon Scholarship Grant Program is offering scholarships to incoming male freshman attending the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign who exhibit the highest moral, intellectual, and social excellence. The website for the application is available in the guidance office. Application deadline is September 8, 2008.

The representative from Vanderbilt University will be in the guidance office on Friday, September 12th during 2nd hour. Students who are interested in seeing this representative should sign up for a pass in the guidance office with Mrs. Gebhart.

The Vantage Credit Union’s Quest for Education Scholarship Program is offering a scholarship to Vantage Credit Union members who qualify and who are graduating seniors. Applications are available in the guidance office. Application deadline is Friday, December 5, 2008.
