Safety Alerts - Violence
The system will be used to alert parents to viable
threats and/or to dispel rumors. Students sometimes attempt to use fear to
manipulate others around them—often because they think it’s funny or just want
to have a day off.
All threats will be treated seriously and will be investigated by the
district and public safety officials. Anyone responsible for threats faces tough
penalties, including possible expulsion from school and criminal prosecution.
