October Newsletter

As we approach the end of the first quarter, we are able to look back at a strong start to a great school year! Our students are displaying enthusiasm and good citizenship as they put forth their best effort both socially and academically.

All Cassens students participated in anti-bullying presentations during the months of September and October. We keep anti-bullying messages in the forefront at each morning meeting and we recognize students who are Cougarific in showing kindness toward others. Red Ribbon Week, Oct. 27 -31, continues this message with a week of fun activities set to anti-drug and anti-bullying messages. A Red Ribbon Fun Run takes place at EHS on October 18. We want to be District 7's best represented school, for the second year in a row, in this great event!!! [More Info]

Cassens Cougar Challenge

OUR SCHOOL FUNDRAISER FOR 2014-2015!

Welcome to the 1st Annual Cougar Challenge! Please help us reach our goal of raising $15k and also creating healthy and active Cougars!

We are replacing our tradition of selling cookie dough as our major fundraiser with a fun and healthy "Cougar Challenge" event. Our students are asked to gather pledges from family and friends before taking on a series of fun physical challenges. This event is for students of all levels of physical ability and will include team building activities. The students will complete their Cougar Challenge during the school day on October 23rd.
Even out-of-town family and friends can now easily sponsor your child by donating online! Please see the link on our webpage. Important: Please type the student's name (and grade/teacher if known) in the message box when you donate. Thank you for your support!!!

Pledges are due on or before October 23rd.
