April / May Newsletter

I continue to be amazed and thankful for the positive energy in this dynamic school community! Thanks to an amazing staff, countless hours donated by parent volunteers, cookie dough sales and Box Tops, we are able to provide the many enrichment activities listed in this newsletter and provide our school with playground equipment, healthy ISAT snacks, and more books for the media center. These are just a few of the many gifts given to our school by our generous parents Thank You! [More Info]

Illinois State Board of Education Makes Changes to ISAT Performance Levels

Illinois schools will see a decline in their students' ISAT performance level (Exceeds, Meets, Below Standards, and Academic Warning) at the elementary and middle school levels. This change is similar to changing a grading scale where 90-100 was considered an A, and now the scale is changed to 94-100 to achieve an A. The State of Illinois has raised the bar for all students.
