We learn how to write many different types of poetry: acrostic / alphabet / haiku / cinquain / 5-W / concrete / diamante / limerick / preposition / free verse. So that we can study and compare these types of poetry, we created calendars. Each month had a different type of poem written to coincide with that month's events or season.
