Problems of the day come from brainteaser books, ISAT practice tests, and math books. Students earn candy guesses for each one they get right. We do about 2-4 different questions each week. Throughout the week we see the same problem with different variations. This gives the student that did not understand how to do the problem on Monday the opportunity to learn from their mistakes and solve it on Tuesday. See below how the problems change from day to day.

MONDAY Draw a picture to solve this problem. Kim lines up some flower vases on a shelf. The green vase is to the right of the blue vase. The pink vase is to the left of the yellow vase. The yellow vase is farthest from the blue vase. From left to right, in which order are the vases? |
MONDAY There are 14 balls in a bag. 2 balls are blue, 3 balls are speckled, 5 balls are red, 3 balls are green, and 1 is yellow. Mark picks a red ball from the bag and puts it back. What is the probability that he picks another red ball? |
