The television celebrity Wishbone inspires millions of people annually to experience adventure through reading.  Books are a great way to spend one's recreational time.  How else can one travel through time, witnessing pivotal events and meeting people of other cultures, while remaining safe-and-sound in the comfort of your own home?  My personal library is a time portal to the world.  Below are some of the books I highly-recommend to anyone wishing to better-understand their world.
