World War II was a watershed event dividing the twentieth-century;  it was the culmination of a number of events, as well as the establishment of a new world order for the late-twentieth century.  If we are to understand our times where we have come from, how we got here, and where we are going we must study World War II.  The spring semester of American History is devoted primarily to examining the last century.
