The goals of the EHS math department for 2011-12 are:
Academic
Goals
Provide instruction and support to students in
preparation for successful performance on Praire State Achievement
Exam (PSAE)
and other college entrance exams.
Continue to participate
in the K-12 Math Curriculum Study in order to address the
needs and core skills of our
students while maintaining and promoting high academic standards.
Expand the opportunities available to students
to encourage college-readiness.
Faculty Goals
Encourage and enable continued collaborative but structured
work among teachers via course leaders and curricular teams.
Promote professional teacher development.
Involve parents and the community in the
mathematical development of their students.
Response to Intervention (RTI) Goal
Identify and implement consistent placement
and intervention processes within the math department that
addresses the changing
needs and skills of students who are not meeting state standards
in math.
