The Edwardsville High School Band is pleased to announce the 1^st Annual

Tiger Ambush Classic

Marching Band Competition

September 20^th, 2008

Highlights include:

·        New artificial field turf performance field

·        Excellent Judging Panel

·        Late Afternoon/Early evening contest

·        Easy access to interstate 70, 55, and 270

·        Great Concessions

·        Classification by Band Size (winds and percussion)

·        Judging is based on sheets designed by the Mid-America Marching Consortium

Trophies will be awarded for:

·        1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd place in each class

·        Best Percussion in class

·        Best Color Guard in class

·        Best Drum Major in Class

·        Best Winds in class

·        Overall Grand Champion (regardless of class)

Judges will include:

Mark Martin: Color Guard - Color Guard director and instructor for WGI semi-finalists and MCCGA class champions, Adjudicator, Choreographer.

Keith Baker: Visual Ens - Drum Corps International Judge, Michigan Competing Band Association, Utah Winter Guard Association, Tournament of Bands, Tidewater Indoor Drill Association, Kentucky Music Educators Association

Bob Boedges: Music Ens - Band Director, Arranger, Drill Writer

Ben Hall: Perc- Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps, Elliot Wright Percussion Quintet, Instructor, Arranger

Jo Smith: Visual GE - Director of Emerald Knights Drum Corps, Instructor, Director of WGI semi-finalists and MCCGA class champions, Drum Corps International Judge, Michigan Competing Band Association, Winter Guard International Judge

Dr. John Bell: DM - Drum Corps International Judge, Indiana State School Music Association Judge, SIUE Music Faculty, Nationwide and International Clinician

Entry Fee is: $150
