EHS Fine Arts Department Hosts 2nd Annual Benefit • Posted

 The EHS Fine Arts Department
once again hosted a benefit performance for the
Edwardsville Main Street Community Center, formerly
known as the Edwardsville Senior Citizens Center. This
year's show, the "EHS Fine Arts Celebration,"
was
held on April 17, 2009, at 7:00 p.m. in the EHS auditorium
and commons.
Last year's show featured performances by choir, orchestra,
band, and drama students. This year had
even more with a student art show in the commons showcasing
ceramics, drawing, painting, and sculpture. Both
AcaFellaz and Bel Canto represented the
choir department.

Ensemble Contest at Collinsville High School on Saturday,
March 7, 2009! We are very proud of our Choir

Congratulations 2009 All-State Participants! • Posted

 Edwardsville High School Choirs
have 11 students who were selected to go to the Illinois
Music Educator's All-State Festival in Peoria this
year; an exceptionally high number of students from one
school! Not only that, but several were
selected for the Honors Chorus! Congratulations to:
All-State Chorus: Sydney Maples, Jordan Myers, Jessica
Blodgett, Rachel Cange, Tyler Nahlik, Phillip Knapp, and
Joel Rogier; All-State Honors Chorus: Suzanne
Dennis, Jacqueline Jensen, Chris Ash, and Brennan Stamps.
