District 7 Financial Update

District 7 and
other public schools throughout the state continue to face
serious funding issues as a result of the state’s failure to
meet its obligations, a decline in local property tax
revenue, and a faltering national economy. [More

The District has continued to review its Three-Year Financial Plan to account for the impact of the local economic
decline and the State’s budget deficit on the District’s budget for the remainder of 2010-11 and the 2011-12 school
year. The District is currently due over $3.1 million from the State for the 2010-11 fiscal year, excluding General State
Aid Payments which are currently being paid.
