Greetings from Mrs. Wells, Principal

Dear Parents,

I am thrilled to be the new principal of Goshen Elementary School! This is a dream come true for me. Having the opportunity to partner with you in opening the doors of Goshen Elementary for the first time is something special and of which we can all be proud.

I’ve had many wonderful teaching and learning opportunities during my tenure as an educator in District 7. I received my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from SIUE in elementary education as well as my Specialist degree in Educational Administration. I am excited about the opportunity to open this new chapter with the District 7 community.

The opening of our new building reminds me of a seed that one is preparing to plant in hopes that it will develop into something new, exciting, and fulfilling. Goshen Elementary is similar to a tiny life that needs the right environment to grow and flourish.

Our collective responsibility is synonymous with the gardener’s responsibility . . . and that is to provide a nurturing environment and prepare the soil for the seed to grow. In our case, we are developing our students, our children. We must all share in the responsibility of ensuring that the seeds are protected in a nurturing environment, and that is within the walls of Goshen Elementary.

I would like to encourage all families to be a part of our new vision for Goshen Elementary School.

The staff and I pledge to work hard for your children and to ensure that every child has an opportunity to succeed academically and socially in a safe and exciting environment.

My door is always open, and I look forward to working with each student, and each and every parent in continuing the success and excellence that you expect from the Edwardsville School District.
