District 7 to host benefit for Edwardsville Senior Citizen Center District 7 will host “EHS Performing Arts Celebration” to benefit the Edwardsville Senior Citizen Center on Friday, May 9, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. The event will take place in the Edwardsville High School Auditorium. Students from the drama, vocal music, band, and orchestra programs will perform selections from their performances this school year. Superintendent Ed Hightower said that the District is pleased to be able to give back to a group of people who have been strong supporters of the school district and the community. “Our kids, who already do an outstanding job in the area of community service, are excited that their performances will help support something so important to the senior citizens in our area,” Hightower said. Tickets, which are $10, will go on sale on Monday, April 21, 2008, at three locations: the Edwardsville Public Library, Edwardsville YMCA Esic Center, and Edwardsville YMCA Meyer Center. Tickets will be available at the main circulation desk at the library and at the main reception desks at both YMCA locations. Tickets will also be available at the door.
