Mr. Boedeker, Science Department, 2007-8 School Year

Honors Astronomy & Honors Geology

To the students in my course and their parents:

These courses will study the earth and the universe.  We will be using many concepts from all branches of science to understand what is going on in the universe around us. I will make the basic assumption that students are somewhat interested in studying these things since they chose to take this class from the wide selection of science courses we offer here at EHS. Every effort will be made to challenge them no matter how much previous knowledge they bring to the course.

The first thing I want you to understand is that our classroom will be a safe place for all students, both physically and emotionally. It will be expected that every person respect every other person. No one should feel uncomfortable asking questions or stating their opinions.

During the first few days of class, we will be establishing the rules that we will use to keep our class running in an orderly manner. Students will be given a copy of the rules at the beginning of the course. Click on the links below to see these now. All school rules, which are explained in detail in the student handbook, will be enforced in our classroom. The student planner contains the student handbook.
