Dining at LMS
Lunch Program
Edwardsville District #7 participates in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) utilizing the Nutrient Based Menus option (NuMenus). Under NuMenus, Edwardsville's menus are analyzed weekly for calories, fat, protein, iron, calcium, vitamins A and D. Menus are planned to meet the USDA's nutritional requirements as well as student preferences. For every meal served that meets nutritional and other program requirements, Edwardsville District #7 receives reimbursement money from the state and federal government. State and federal agencies audit the program to assure requirements are met. District #7 students benefit from participation in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP).

Meal Definitions
BREAKFAST: A student must select a minimum of two ITEMS to qualify for a meal. A student may select up to three items FOR THE MEAL PRICE
LUNCH: A student must select an entree and at least one ADDITIONAL item to qualify for a meal. A student may select up to 4 total items including the entree FOR THE MEAL PRICE.
Dining Policy
While dining at Liberty Middle School please observe the following:
1. Only Liberty students and employees may eat in the Commons.
2. Place trash in a trash container, and leave tables, chairs, and the floor free of all debris.
3. Return food tray to the designated area.
4. Cooperate with cafeteria personnel and monitors.
5. Food and drink will only be permitted in the Commons.
6. Students may not take food or drink items out of the Commons and into other parts of the building.
7. Students who bring sack lunches from home must store their food in suitable containers, and it must remain in their lockers until the lunch period.
During one’s scheduled lunch period, the student must be in the Liberty Commons or other designated areas of the building. All other parts of the building and grounds are OFF LIMITS.
