Inuit

Students in Mrs. Burns’ class have been studying Native Americans. They have learned a lot about the Inuit of the Arctic regions.

 

The Inuit lived in the Arctic region. It was very cold. They lived in snow houses in the winter. Their main source of food was whale. They used every part of the animal they killed. They made underwear out of seal intestines. They also made jackets for kayaking out of seal intestines. They made oil lamps and oil out of whale blubber. They thanked the animal they killed for giving its life to them.
