Nelson's Garden
Students and teachers at N. O. Nelson Elementary have been busy preparing the soil in their new garden for Fall bulb planting.
|
Students used child-sized shovels and rakes to break up the soil. |
Mrs. Burns' class liked to help. |
|
Mrs. Burns and Mrs. Bradford wrote grants to finance the garden. Madison County Soil and Water District provided funds for the plants.Nelson's PTO has also donated funds. |
The teachers dig in to add peat, gypsum, and manure. |
