Building With Ice Blocks

Second grade students are studying matter (solids, liquids, and gases). The made colorful ice cubes and shapes to construct an ice castle. They saw a liquid turn to a solid and back to a liquid again.

Our containers are frozen solid.

Place the blocks carefully.

Girls with their design.

The boys liked the building, too.

We'll watch it all day.

The blocks are starting to melt.

Some of the towers begin to topple.

More melting.

It's almost gone!
