Ice Cream

 

On Friday, May 23rd, second grade students at N. O. Nelson Elementary School made ice cream. They had studied mixtures in their Science Unit called Science in the Kitchen. Here is their recipe:

Mix together in a small ziploc bag -

1 cup milk

1 cup whipping cream

¼ cup sugar

½ teaspoon vanilla

Put small bag inside a large ziploc bag with -

Ice Cubes

1 cup rock salt

¾ cup water

Shake bag until ice cream is frozen. Share with 3 friends.
