After studying the rain forests in our science unit "The Great Outdoors", students gave their reasons for saving them.

I think you should not cut down trees from the rain forest because the animals will not have any place to live.  We should only use the fruit and the medicine.  We should not catch wild animals either.  We need the rain forest and we don't want it to shrink.

I think that everybody needs the rain forest.  So please stop cutting down the trees!  You are killing all the animals in the rain forest like the sloth.  The rain forest needs the animals so don't take the animals out for the zoo.   We need the tropical fruits, just pick them.  Don't cut down the trees!   We need medicine, but that doesn't mean chop down all the trees in the rain forest.   So that's why I think everyone needs the rainforest.

Please, I would appreciate it if you would save the rain forest!   How would you like it if your home was being torn up?  If you tear down the rain forest, there will be no more animals to discover and scientists will be out of business.  And if you knock down the rain forest, soon the world will forget about the animals that live there.  What about chocolate?  And if you tear down the rain forest and you are sick, you might die without medicine.  That is my opinion of the rain forest.  Please save it!

I think the rain forest should be saved.  If the people don't stop cutting down trees, the animals have no home.  More than half of the world's animals live in the rain forest.  We get many foods from the rain forest such as chocolate, coffee, vanilla, nuts, cinnamon, and even some medicines.  So that's why I think we should save the rain forest.

Please do not cut the rain forests down.  The animals can't live.   Think if you were an animal.  Would you want people to cut down trees and kill you?  NO!!  Probably!  The animals that haven't been discovered might not be discovered if you kill all the forests.  You won't get to see the beautiful nature.  That's why I think you shouldn't cut down trees.

I think you should not cut down the trees in the rain forest because it is a home for many animals.  You should not pick that much fruit because the animals eat the fruit.  Please don't hunt the animals for fur because if you keep on hunting, the animals there will be no more.  So that is why I think you should save the rain forest.

Please save the rain forest and don't chop down trees.  Please save the animals and their homes.  We need the rain forest for medicine and food like tomatoes and pineapples.  The plants are tall and please don't step on them.   Don't hunt the animals for their skin.  So please don't chop down the rain forest.

Please help save the rain forest.  We need our rain forests.   Many animals live in the rain forests.  The rain forests give us many things we need.  The rain forest is a special place.  The animals need the rain forest.   And so do we.  Please don't let the rain forests die.  And please don't hunt the animals.  The rain forests need our help.  The rain forests deserve to live!

I think you should not cut down trees because the rain forest will shrink.  If it shrinks, all the animals will die because there would be no food.   If the rain forest shrinks, there would not be much rain forest food.  If there were no rain forest, you couldn't get some medicines.  That's why you should save the rain forest.

I feel that the rain forest should be saved because my dad would not have a job.  He is a pharmacist and some medicines come from the rain forest.   Many things come from the rain forest such as chocolate, coffee, and gum.  I know that half of the animals in the world come from the rain forest.  If there was no rain forest, there would be no us.  So please help me save the rain forest.

I think you should not cut down trees in the rain forest because what would plant eating animals eat?  What would they climb on and have fun on?  All the animals will die because they won't have any shade from all that sunlight.  It rains a lot in the rain forest.  The rain forest is so special because it gives us coffee, vanilla, gum, and chocolate.  And the rain forest has so many tropical plants.  That's why I think we should save the rain forests.

I think the rain forest should be saved because if they cut down almost every tree almost every animal in the rain forest would be extinct.  No animal would have a home.  I think that people should stop putting rubber plantations in the rain forest because ants might eat the rubber and die.  They should stop iguana farming because they will die.  Don't you think that the rain forest should be saved?
