He was born on November 24 1784 in Barboursville, VA. He was a solider for 40 years. He became President in 1849. Zachary became ill and died. He died after 16 months in office in 1850. He died in the White House. Zachary had five brothers and three sisters.

Harry S. Truman was born May 8,1884 in Lamar, Missouri. Before he was President he had many jobs. He was a First World War captain, he was the judge of Jackson County Court, and he was a U.S. Senator. Then he became 33rd President in 1945 until 1953. He was President during the Korean War. He died December 26,1972 of an old age and lived to be 88.

Before he was president his jobs were a lawyer, member of the Continental Congress, served at the Constitutional Convention and was in the House of Representatives. He was President from 1801 to 1809. The Star Spangled Banner was written when he was President. James Madison was a close friend to Thomas Jefferson. He died in 1836. He died in his home in Mountpeilier.

Things that happened while he was President were the Black Hawk War and the Second Seminole War. He was President from1829 to 1837. Then the good man died on June 8,1845.

He died because he became ill. He lived till he was 90 years old. John Adams had a son that was a president, too. John Adams was the first president to live in the White House. His Vice president was Thomas Jefferson. His first lady was Abigail Smith. John Adams kids names were Abigail, John Quincy, Susanna, Charles, and Thomas. He belonged to a party called the Federalist.

He was a bachelor when inaugurated to his first term at age 47. While he was President, Utah was admitted as the 45th state and Hawaii was made a republic on July 4, 1894. He died June 24th 1908 at age 71. He is buried in Princeton, New Jersey.

Calvin Coolidge
Calvin Coolidge was born on July 4,1827 in Plymouth, Vermont. He was a lawyer, a governor, and a writer before he became President. He was a shy and silent man. Calvin Coolidge was elected Vice-President in 1920 to William G. Harding. He served as Vice-President for 2 years. Early on the morning of August 3, 1923, when he was on vacation on his fathers farm, Coolidge was woken up with the shocking news that Harding was dead. He quickly got dressed and knelt in prayer, then went downstairs to the dining room and his father administered the Presidential Oath at 2:45 a.m. After that he went back to bed and slept. 18 days later, he had a second oath of office administered by a Justice of the Supreme Court. In 1924,Coolidge was elected to a full term as President. He was President for 6 years. While Coolidge was President, the first successful liquid-fuel rocket was launched. Coolidge died in North Hampton, Mass. on Jan. 5, 1933 of a heart attack at age 60.
