Girls Track and Field Team is Co-State Champion

The Edwardsville Tigers Girls Track & Field Team captured a Co-IHSA State Championship on Saturday, May 23, capping off an outstanding season with exceptional performances at the state meet, which included three individual state championship performances.
Senior Jayla Gathing earned an IHSA State Championship in the discus, while Joi Story claimed the state title in the shot put. Sophia Shapiro also brought home a state championship, winning the 300-meter hurdles in impressive fashion.
