As schools across the country navigate school safety, District #7 continues to take steps to ensure our schools are a safe place to teach and learn. In addition to the use of the Crisis Go platform and reviewing district response teams protocols for crisis situations, the district has also entered a partnership with Siren GPS to adopt 911 RTA, which is an emergency notification that alerts school personnel when a 911 dispatcher identifies a threat at or near one of our schools. Once fully implemented, building and district administrators will receive immediate notification of any 911 calls that are made within a certain proximity to the school campus.
