Columbus Teacher Named Madison County Green Schools Coordinator of the Year

Columbus Elementary teacher Alicia Carrico was named the Madison County Green Schools Coordinator of the Year!
Throughout the 2024-25 school year, Ms. Carrico led hands-on projects including:
- Holiday Light Recycling Drive
- Tab Top Collection for Ronald McDonald House Charities
- Plastic Cap Collection
- America Recycles Day Fashion Show
Ms. Carrico received a $500 award, which will help her further support environmental initiatives at Columbus. The school also received $500 in funding.
