October 10, 2025

Dear District #7 Families,

As we near the halfway point of the semester, I want to take a moment to recognize our students, staff, and families for an incredible start to the 2025–2026 school year. Every school year brings its own challenges, and this one is no exception. Yet even in the face of adversity, District #7 has remained steadfast in its top priority of providing a safe and supportive learning environment for each student, while ensuring our teachers and staff have the guidance and resources they need to succeed.

In District #7, we believe that strong relationships among students, staff, and families are essential to student success. At the end of October, every family will have the opportunity to meet with their student’s teachers during Parent-Teacher Conferences. We encourage all families to take advantage of this valuable time to strengthen connections, open lines of communication, and gain meaningful insight into their student’s progress.

We are also approaching one of the most exciting weeks of the year, Edwardsville High School Homecoming. Although Homecoming is celebrated at EHS, it’s an opportunity for everyone across the district to show pride in Edwardsville School District #7. Our community has so much to be proud of, and this week is our chance to come together and celebrate that pride. We look forward to seeing many of you at the Homecoming parade on Wednesday night and at Friday night’s EHS football game.

Thank you to all our students, staff, and families for your continued trust, partnership, and commitment to our mission of empowering each student to achieve personal success. If you need anything, do not hesitate to contact me at aduncan@ecusd7.org. Have a great weekend.
