Edwardsville, IL – The Scott Credit Union Community Foundation has awarded four grants to District #7 schools, supporting projects across six schools as part of its With You Grants, part of a larger initiative that has provided $150,000 to support 57 student-centered projects across Illinois and Missouri this year.

The With You Grants Program is funded through the Foundation’s annual golf scramble and a percentage of purchases made by members using their Scott Credit Union debit cards. These funds are reinvested directly into local schools to support projects that enhance learning environments, foster inclusion, and meet essential student needs.

This year, the Foundation received 132 submissions. A volunteer committee selected 57 winning projects based on need, potential student impact, and clarity of proposal. All applications were evaluated anonymously to ensure impartiality.

District 7 schools receiving grants include:

  • Albert Cassens Elementary School – Creation of a Little Free Library to promote literacy and community engagement.

  • Woodland, Worden, Cassens & Columbus Elementary Schools – Expansion of Think-a-Thon STEM mornings, led by fifth graders, across all elementary schools.

  • Edwardsville High School – Enhancement of resources for multilingual learners with a classroom library and mobile book cart.

  • Nelson Elementary School – Establishment of a multilingual learning library to support literacy for PreK–2 students.
