District #7 Welcomes Community Members for Senior Citizens Breakfast

District #7 Welcomes Community Members for Senior Citizens Breakfast

On Friday, April 17, District #7 had the pleasure of welcoming members of our community to our Senior Citizens Breakfast, creating a wonderful start to the day filled with connection, conversation, and celebration. Approximately 50 senior community members attended the event, which provided an opportunity to recognize and reconnect with valued members of the District #7 family.

Guests enjoyed a delicious breakfast, heard updates from across the district, and were treated to beautiful performances by our talented orchestra and choir students. The morning also featured thoughtful placemats designed by middle school art students from Lincoln Middle School and Liberty Middle School, adding a personal and creative touch to the event.

What made the morning especially meaningful was the connection across generations. Many attendees were proud alumni and former educators, making it a special opportunity to welcome them back and celebrate their lasting ties to our schools.

A special thank you goes to the Edwardsville High School students who helped host the event. They took time to sit, listen, and engage in conversation with our guests, creating genuine and memorable connections.

Moments like these are a wonderful reminder of what makes District #7 so special. We are grateful for the continued support of our senior community members and look forward to growing this tradition in the years ahead.
