Multi-Tiered Systems of Support

To support all students in achieving personal success, District 7 utilizes a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) to meet the Academic and Social Emotional needs of every student, every day. It is a way that districts and schools organize and provide education to ensure students receive the instruction they need to succeed. By operating within the MTSS framework, schools acknowledge that students’ needs vary, so the best way to help them achieve is to provide instruction that matches those needs. Within the MTSS framework, educators carefully monitor student progress, ensure that all students receive effective instruction, and provide more targeted or individualized support when needed in academics, attendance, behavior, and social-emotional learning.
