Superintendent's Office
Dr. Patrick Shelton, Superintendent Dr. Patrick Shelton was selected as the Superintendent in Edwardsville CUSD7 beginning in 2021. Prior to being named Superintendent, Dr. Shelton served as the Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Education in the Lee’s Summit R-VII School District in Lee’s Summit, MO. Dr. Shelton also has served as the Coordinator of Customized Learning in the Parkway School District, and as a building principal in Parkway and Wood River-Hartford School District #15. He started his career as a K-12 Music Teacher in Staunton CUSD #6 prior to becoming an administrator.
Dr. Shelton received his Bachelor of Music from Culver-Stockton College and his Master of Science in Educational Administration and his Specialist and Doctorate degrees in Educational Leadership from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
Prior to relocating to Lee’s Summit, Dr. Shelton and his family had lived in Edwardsville since 2008 and all three of his children attended District #7. He has been married to Stacy, a third-grade teacher in the Staunton School District, for 27 years, and they are proud parents of Brendan, Kelsey and Katelyn.
