No. Students are not required to change in front of others. Private changing stalls are available for any student who prefers them, and accommodations can always be made for individual comfort and needs. Accommodations are also available for students with personal, religious, cultural, or medical needs. The course also allows up to five consecutive “personal days” for situations such as menstrual cycles. Additional accommodations may be arranged upon request.

Can you tell me the official process for intradistrict school transfer request? What requirements need to be met to consider approval? Do building principals give input or is this purely superintendent decision?

Per Board Policy 7:30 Student Assignment and Intra-District Transfer, a student's parent/guardian may request a transfer of their child to a District school other than the one assigned. This is done via the Intra-District Transfer Request Form, which may be requested through your child's principal or the superintendent's office. There are four (4) eligible reasons for request: 1. Family Move; 2. Request from Outside Agency; 3. Family Hardship; 4. Special Education Program. Additional information will be provided to the parent/guardian regarding Intra-District Transfer Requests with the request form. The building principals impacted, sending and receiving, are notified of the request and may submit recommendations. Ultimately, the Superintendent reviews all requests for approval/denial.
