Summer Zone

Summer Zone 2026 Online Registration opens March 9, 2026 at 8:00am. 

Summer Zone utilizes EZChildTrack for online registration. Please visit the EZChildTrack Parent Portal at https://www.ezchildtrack.com/ecusd7/parent to log in (returning users) or register (new users). 

After this is done:

• Click register under Summer Zone on the EZChildTrack Parent Portal. 
• The software will walk you through the registration and enrollment process step by step. 

Please note, your EZChildTrack account must have a $0 balance to enroll.

Summer Zone 2026 Handbook (required reading for all families)

The program handbook outlines what parents/guardians may expect from Summer Zone. This handbook answers many of the questions parents/guardians may have regarding Summer Zone.

Weekly fee:  $200

A $25 nonrefundable registration fee for each week is paid upon online registration and will be applied to your weekly fee balance. 

Financial Assistance: 

Some families may qualify for the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) through the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS).

How to Apply

Families can submit new CCAP applications online:

• Takes 20 minutes or less to complete on a smartphone, tablet, or computer (English and Spanish available)
• Upload supporting documents directly
• Digital applications are for new applications only. Paper forms are still required for redeterminations, change of information, or change of provider

Parents are responsible for all Summer Zone fees until CCAP approval is received. Families are also responsible for copayments and any additional Summer Zone fees (including meal charges and late pick-up charges) not covered by CCAP.

Summer Zone 2026 features a different theme each week to keep programming fresh, engaging, and exciting. Activities include crafts, STEM projects, outdoor games, team challenges, creative play, and more — all aligned with the weekly theme.

In addition:

• Edwardsville Arts Center partners with us every Monday to provide hands-on art experiences.
• Swimming is offered on select Wednesdays (June 10, June 24, July 15, and July 29) for completed K–5 campers.

Team-building, icebreakers, and getting to know our Summer Zone traditions.

Week 2 (June 8–12) – Superheroes & Sidekicks
Creative hero design, obstacle courses, and character-building challenges.

Week 3 (June 15–18) (Closed June 19) – Science, STEM & Slime
Hands-on experiments and messy, curiosity-driven fun.

Week 4 (June 22–26) – Sports Spectacular
Team games, friendly competitions, and active challenges.

(Closed June 29–July 3)

Week 5 (July 6–10) – Mystery & Detective
Clue-solving, puzzles, and problem-solving missions.

Week 6 (July 13–17) – Game Show & Challenges
Minute-to-win-it style games, trivia, and team competitions.

Week 7 (July 20–24) – Time Travelers & History Mysteries
Exploring different eras through creative activities and interactive exploring.

Week 8 (July 27–31) – Pirates, Mermaids & Sea Adventures
Ocean-themed crafts, treasure hunts, and water-inspired fun.

Week 9 (August 3–7) – Camp Throwback: Send-Off Week
Favorite activities from the summer and end-of-camp celebrations.

Technology is intentionally integrated into structured group activities using program-provided devices such as laptops and Nintendo Switch systems. Screen time is limited, staff-supervised, and balanced with hands-on exploration, outdoor play, and social activities. Personal electronic devices are not permitted.
